Kevin focuses on special projects at General Translation.

He was a former software engineer at the US Treasury, venture capitalist at a16z (and founding team member of Speedrun), and investment banker at J.P. Morgan.

Kevin grew up in China and co-founded two internet start-ups while in High School (which was when he taught himself how to code). His time in China inspired him to move to the Bay Area to attend UC Berkeley where he studied engineering and business.

Locadex is General Translation's AI agent which internationalises your code and translates your content in your GitHub repository. Its automations run when a pull request is opened, when a commit is pushed, or when you start one, and every change arrives as a pull request.

Pass each string that isn't a JSX child, such as a placeholder or a module-scope constant, through a translation function where it renders. General Translation's useGT hook returns that function, and msg with useMessages translates constants defined outside a component.
