Credit Terms

Terms governing General Translation credits.

Last updated: May 18, 2026

These Credit Terms are an agreement between you (Customer) and General Translation, Inc. (General Translation, we, us, or our). When Customer purchases or otherwise accepts from us any credit or other unit of consumption redeemable for use of our products, services, or offerings (such credits, Credits) (such products, services, or offerings, Services), Customer agrees that these Credit Terms apply. If Customer does not accept these Credit Terms, Customer may not purchase or otherwise accept Credits. These Credit Terms may be updated by General Translation at any time by posting a revised version on its website.

  1. These Credit Terms are effective upon Customer's purchase or receipt of Credits and unless an earlier period is specified or agreed in the terms of Customer's purchase (Order), Credits will expire at the end of the subscription period under which such Credit was issued, but in no event greater than one year from purchase or issuance. Customer's Order may contain additional information, conditions, or requirements for Customer's Credits. In the case of a conflict between this Agreement and the Order, the Order will prevail.

  2. We may allow Customer to redeem Credits for Services. Although our pricing page may contain details about the number of credits required to be exchanged for certain Services, Credits are not currency, are not redeemable for cash, have no equivalent in fiat currency and do not act as a substitute for fiat currency, and do not constitute personal property. Customer may not exchange Credits with other users or sell Credits. Any attempt to transfer Credits is a material breach of Customer obligations to us.

  3. Customer may use Credits only as permitted by General Translation in connection with the Services. Customer's right to use Credits terminates immediately upon any violation of any contract pertaining to the Services, any suspension or termination of Customer's account, or a discontinuation of the Services.

  4. Credits are one-time-use only. Except as required by law, Credits are non-refundable. Customer will not receive refunds for partially used credits, unused credits upon expiration, or credits remaining upon cancellation of a paid subscription. All exchanges of Credits for Services are final. For other technical failures, we may, at our sole discretion, issue replacement Credits on a case-by-case basis, but we are under no obligation to do so.

  5. General Translation reserves the right to modify, limit, or discontinue the Credit system or the quantities of credits required to exchange for Services at any time. If Customer continues to use Credits after any such change, such usage constitutes Customer's continued acceptance of these Credit Terms as modified.
