This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) contains rules that apply to the use of any products, services, or offerings of General Translation, Inc. (General Translation, us, we, or our) (such products, services, or offerings, the Services) by you or your users (collectively, you). Your use of the Services must comply with this AUP. This AUP is not exhaustive and may be updated by General Translation at any time by posting a revised version on its website.

1. Safety and Security. You will not use the Services in any manner that endangers yourself or others, including without limitation:

   a. to incite, facilitate, promote, support, or celebrate violence of any kind, including sexual violence, terrorism, or hate-based violence;

   b. to investigate, promote, support or aid suicide or other self-harm;

   c. to abuse or exploit children, including by facilitating minor grooming, trafficking, sextortion, or abuse or distributing, promoting, or celebrating material that depicts child sexual abuse (including AI-generated material)

2. Privacy and Respect. You will not upload, store, post, or transmit content that:

   a. Is obscene, defamatory, deceptive, harassing, abusive, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory;

   b. Violates anyone else's intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights, including via misuse of anyone else's likeness, image, voice, name, identity, or private information;

   c. Shames, harasses, humiliates, bullies, intimidates, denigrates, or celebrates the pain of any person; or

   d. Celebrates animal neglect, abuse, or cruelty.

3. Engage Honorably. You will not use the Services to:

   a. Create any content designed to undermine democratic processes or mislead voters;

   b. Engage in lobbying, advocacy, or campaigning based on false or misleading information; or

   c. Incite or glorify any of the foregoing.

4. Prohibited Conduct. You will not and will not attempt to:

   a. Commit any unlawful act, including fraud, scams, impersonation, or acquisition and exchange of illegal or controlled substances or other illegal materials;

   b. Transmit spam or other unsolicited communications to other users;

   c. Use the Services in violation of data, privacy or other applicable laws or regulations;

   d. Engage in any activity that we determine in our sole discretion will cause liability to us or is otherwise objectionable.

5. Others. You will not use the Services to prompt or encourage others to commit any of the actions above.

We may monitor compliance with this AUP. If we determine that you or your content violates this AUP, we may remove your content or suspend your access to the Services.

We may report any activity that we suspect violates any law or regulation to appropriate authorities. Such reporting may include disclosing relevant information.

If you become aware of any suspected violation of this AUP, please notify us at acceptable-use@generaltranslation.com and provide a full explanation of the bases for the violation.
