# General Translation Platform: Configuration URL: https://generaltranslation.com/en-GB/docs/platform/locadex/reference/config.mdx --- title: Configuration description: Configure Locadex automation targets, triggers, commands, pull requests and repository settings. Reference for Locadex automation and repository configuration. --- Open **Project > Automations** and select an automation to edit its configuration. | Setting group | Includes | | ------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | | [Target](#target) | Repository, target directory, framework, package manager and linter | | [Trigger and branches](#trigger-branches) | Target branch, trigger and created branch prefix | | [Commands and pull requests](#commands-prs) | Commands, pull request text, commit message and behaviour toggles | | [Automation state](#automation-state) | Active state and deletion | | [Secrets](#secrets) | Organization-level environment variables | | [Repository settings](#repository-settings) | Email reminders, monitoring, setup and repository connection | ## Target [#target] * **Repository** — linked GitHub repository the automation runs against * **Target directory** — folder Locadex works in, relative to the repository root; defaults to `.` * **Framework** — framework Locadex expects in the target directory * **Package manager** — dependency installer; defaults to **Detect automatically** * **Linter** — post-edit style tool; defaults to **None** Changing the repository preserves the automation and points it at another repository linked to the same Project. ## Trigger and branches [#trigger-branches] * **Target branch** — branch Locadex starts from and opens pull requests against; defaults to the repository's detected default branch or `main` * **Run when** — **A pull request changes**, **A commit is pushed**, or **Started manually** * **Created branch prefix** — prefix for Locadex branches; defaults to `locadex/` New **Generate code** and **Generate translations and push** automations default to **A pull request changes**. **Keep locales in sync** defaults to **Started manually**. ## Commands and pull requests [#commands-prs] * **Pre-process command** — runs from the repository root before Locadex starts * **Post-process command** — runs from the repository root after Locadex finishes * **Pull request title** — custom title; if empty, uses the Locadex default * **Pull request description** — custom body; if empty, uses the Locadex default * **Commit message** — custom commit message; if empty, uses the Locadex default * **Auto-merge** — merges the pull request after checks pass; off by default * **Changed files only** — limits the **Generate code** relevance check to changed lines rather than the full contents of modified files; on by default for **Generate code** and **Generate translations and push**, and off for **Keep locales in sync**, though only **Generate code** uses the filter * **Preserve local edits** — keeps manual edits to files generated earlier; on by default ## Automation state [#automation-state] Turn **Active** off to pause automatic triggers without deleting the configuration or history. **Delete automation** stops future runs and retains existing run history. Disconnecting GitHub also preserves the automation but pauses it until a repository is reconnected or selected. ## Secrets [#secrets] Secrets are managed at the Organization level, not within an automation. Open `/org/{orgId}/locadex/secrets`, replacing `{orgId}` with your Organization ID. The page is not currently listed in the Dashboard sidebar. Adding, editing or deleting a secret requires the **Manage Locadex secrets** permission. The default Admin and Developer roles have this permission. Secrets are environment variables injected into the sandbox when Locadex runs automations. Use secrets for API keys, tokens or pre-process and post-process command configuration. ## Repository settings [#repository-settings] Repository-level controls remain available at `/project/{projectId}/locadex/configuration`, replacing `{projectId}` with your Project ID. This page is not currently listed in the Dashboard sidebar. * **Email Reminders** — sends a reminder about an open Locadex pull request after 6 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 2 days, 1 week, or 2 weeks; defaults to 1 day * **Disable monitoring** — stops automatic automation triggers while preserving settings and run history; use **Enable monitoring** to resume * **Re-run setup** — detects the framework, locales, and configuration again and opens a new setup pull request * **Disconnect repository** — removes the link between the Project and its GitHub repository while preserving automation settings and run history
